Bottle, thanks to Mes. Black as the abyss with a small brown head. Nose and taste had abundant dark chocolate and roasted malt with some alcohol and barrel notes. Very smooth, fullish and creamy mouthfeel. Some bitternes protruded towards the finish. Barely noticable ABV overall. A perfect late night sipper. Ace!

180 ml bottle. Black body with a thin brown head. Aroma of sweet, roasted malt, molasses, coffee and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet, roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, bitter and warming alcohol. Full bodied. The alcohol it selves is more obvious than the actual whisky flavor. Damn nice anyway.

Bottle #421 courtesy of steptin, thank you sir! Very dark brown color, medium brown head with fair retention. Aroma of booze, wood, vanilla, chocolate, raisins. Taste is whisky and dark chocolate. Good stuff!

Green-waxed bottle, kindly shared by my beerpal Ivar. ABV 12.5%. Black colour, moderate brown head. Oaky and roasty aroma, hints of fusel alcohols and leather. Roasty flavour, notes of oak (whisky cask).

First Snowfall of the Season tasting in Odense. Black with a small tan head. Vineous fruity aroma with chocolate and roast notes. Sweet and roasted flavour with licorice, coffee and dark ink notes. Hints of hop flavour and bitterness in the finish

Bottle @ Local Tasting, Nov 2010. Pours dark brown with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is alcohol, whiskey and coffee roast. Smooth and oily carbonation. Liquorice and coffee roast. Nice

Bottle bought at De Molen in November 2010. (bottle number was 209) Black with a small tan head. Very nice aroma and taste of wood, roasted malt and some whisky. Also dark chocolate and licorice. Thick body with a pleasant mouth feel. An excellent beer, how nice that I bought two bottles. Perfect beer to enjoy slowly.

(Bottle, #1236/1560) Pitch black colour with huge, foamy, fairly brief, brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of liquorice, vanilla, strong black coffee, oak wood, dark fruit and hints of ashes. Slightly vinous. Roasted, malty, slightly vinous taste with liquorice, dark chocolate, sweet espresso, dark fruit and ashes. Vinous finish with oak wood, vanilla and a solid coffee bitterness well integrated with the rest of the flavours. Full body, fairly sweet with balanced hints of warming alcohol. Excellent wood ageing where the wood is always present but never dominant. Impressive and absolutely lovely.

bottle at home ... Thanks to Jan ... from my De Molen Festival glass ... deep black ... thin tan lacing after big bubbly head ... too fizzy ... such a shame as behind that its stuning ... sweet roast chocolate toffee malt nose ... juicy chocolate roast malts ... light coffee ... but huge chocolate ... light sweetness ... rich smooth and soft ... real tasty
