Bottle from an Euro Spar, on our way from Salzburg to Passau. Color: Clear brown amber, beige head. Aroma: Caramel malt, strong caramel. Taste: Again strong caramel, malty, light hopbitterness. Buttery. Moderate sweet. Medium to just below medium body, just below average carbonation. Too much caramel and butter for me personally.

bottle from Kalea Austrian Bieradventskalender 2019. Brown with a creamy off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasetd malts. Malty base, more on the dry than on the sweet side, roasetd malts, some very shy toffee and cocoa powder, earthy hoppy finish.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Weak, grainy and strawy, minimally chocolately, dark malty aroma, a touch of cocoa. Taste is slightly grainy and strawy malty, diluted hints of malt lozenge, grassy and minimally metallic, hoppy overtones.

From bottle at Haus Berta, Brunau am Inn, Austria, with IPT 15.04.19. Clear mahogany. Off-white head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of semi-dark malt, sawdust, dates and mellow bitterness. Good!!! Perhaps a little waterish mouthfeel.

0,3l from tap at a pub in Mödling like a week ago. dark brown colour, small off white head. smells of caramel, spices, tobacco, dark bread notes. decent smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of spices, licorice, some tobacco, light breadish, very light caramel. finishes lightly dry with notes of spices, licorice and caramel. rather light on the flavor side, but overall decent Dunkles, luckily only lightly sweet.

Bottle. Clear dark colour. Stable head. Promising caramelly aroma, but dull and thin taste with a disappointing grassy and metallic finish.
