Bottle at The Capital, Leuven. Aroma of malt, red fruits, tart cherry, funky yeast, caramel, oak, red wine. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and rather tart, moderate sour. Dry and rich. Very refined and delicious.

From bottle at BBF 2010. dark brown color. Mon chéri bonbon in the aroma. Soft sourish flavor with cherry notes and cheap sweets. Nice one.

From old rating. Gusher! Hazy dark brown colour, very vinous nose, along with green apples. Taste is rather dry and sour. Easy drinkable.

Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn tap: pours reddish brown with a very little head. Aroma is wood and cherry and vinegar. Taste is rather sour and very woody. Mild sweetness. Some lingering lactic finish. Pretty good.

’Versnijbier’ based on an unhopped beer made with their Morpheus yeast. Yellowish head, deep burgundy colour. Oud bruin-like aroma, sweet and sour, impressions of sherry, passion fruit, blue grapes, pear syrup, wood, liquorice, wine vinegar. Very estery fruity taste, deep, fresh sourishness on a caramelly and chocolatey malt base, acidly dry finish with no hop bitterness, vinous, woody and sherry-like. Interesting sour ale.

[From my backlog @ El LĂşpulo Feroz]. Brown colour with a creamy brown head, good duration. Aroma has notes of burnt sugar, sourish and wooden notes. Slightly acidic, notes of burnt wood, red fruits are also present and moderate bittery.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit großer Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, säuerlich, schokoladig, würzig, genauso ist auch der Geschmack.

Bottle from ABC, consumed on the IR train to Antwerp. Dark reddish brown with a huge, airy head. Nose of cherry, chocolate, lactic acid. Tangy. Nicely tangy flavor, caramel, chocolate, cherry, iron, yogurt, vanilla. Light and tasty.
