0,5 l bottle, very kitschy label art work. Dark red brown in the glass, one-finger-head. Sweet ripe fruits on the nose. Starts alcoholic malty, mid sweet, allmonds, barel woody. Mid alcoholic bitterness to the end. Wish it could be more complex but way better than expected.

Dark ruby copper colour, medium head. Potent molasses and nuts aroma, followed by semi-sweet caramel flavours. Still not overly sweet.

Bottled@vPBFIII (Thanks McTapps!). Reddish orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly, mild toasted notes along with some grass and alcohol. Flavour is sweet malts, fruits, some toffee, grass and mild herbal notes along with a slight alcoholic sweetness kicking in as well.

50 cl bottle @ wPBF’14, BBE 30.04.2014
Aroma is gluey with some alcohol. Also some bready malt. Flavour has glue, solvent-like alcohol, some sweetish malty tones and bread. Not good, alcohol comes through too much.

Bottle 500ml (WPBF)
Clear amber color, small off-white head. Malty aroma has hints of grass, caramel and alcohol. Medium-bodied. Sweetish typical German doppelbock. Earthy German hoppyness. Malty and clean.

Bottle shared by Cuso, thank you! Aroma is mild, to the point of nonexistency. Clear reddish amber colour. Taste is sweetish malty, sugary. Much as I hate to say this about a small brew, this beer failed to impress me in any way. And by that I mean make any impression at all.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a slightly beige ,edium-sized foamy head. Toast-malty and molassy aroma with notes of caramel and bread crusts. Sweet flavour, almost full bodied with a smooth and well-matured carbonation. Mildly toasted malt character with notes of bread, caramel and traces of chocolate; sweet and delicately bitter, also quite lasting caramelly finish with traces of chocolate and a muted alcoholic strength. A good and deceptive Doppelbock. 26.XI.13

Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, small off-white creamy head, sweetish toasty - almost a bit smoky - nose with yeast and hops, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and quite smooth; shorter sweetish caramelly-toasty finish, balanced by some bitterness. No reason to get excited, but quite nice…
