Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a dense, creamy and lacing shaving foam style off-white head with excellent retention - a very good looking beer. Toffee and chocolate in the nose, Rich, sweet flavors of biscuits, toffee, molasses and nuts - but not really sweet. Soft mouthfeel with a lowish carbonation. Some warming alcohol in the finish, but generally extremely easy going and balanced. 091225

Klare kastanienbraune Farbe; überwiegend feinporige und stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase sehr viel dunkles Malz und Karamell, helle Schokolade, süßlich. Im Geschmack mit vollem Körper, malzig - auch etwas röstmalzig, schokoladig, würzig, deutliche - aber nicht so intensive Süße wie erwartet, wunderbar cremige Textur, im Abgang präsente Bittere. Insgesamt ein harmonischer, aromatischer und relativ süffiger Doppelbock.

Klare bräunlich rötliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht röstmalzig mit Karamell, schwach hopfig. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

500ml Bottle - Brown with red tinges. Fruity and slightly vinous aroma with notes of figs and raisins. Syrup, figs, caramel, dates and raisins all feature in the malty and moderately sweet taste.

Unser Bürgerbräu Suffikator, Flasche aus dem Fastenzeit-Bierpaket vom Biershop Bayern. - Tiefdunkles Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase recht mattes, süßliches dunkles Malz, flaue Röstnoten, kaum Hopfen. - Antrunk satt dunkelmalzig mit Bayrisch Blockmalz und feiner, zart zitroniger Süße. Gut rezent, vollmundig, samtig weich; gut kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang milde Malzbittere und vage, gerade noch ausreichende Hopfenherbe. - Routinierter dunkler Bock mit der für bairische Dunkelbiere typischen Note von gebranntem Zucker, knapp gehopft und ohne die schwere Tiefe guter Bockbiere. Kein Highlight aber doch solide und süffig.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts strong, not too intense, fine malty, light alcoholic notes. Mild roasty. Finish milder, almost a bit boring. Exspected more from such a doppelbock.

Bottle in Jesolo-Italy, somewhere in town. Pours a chestnut honey color, clear with a medium-low but tick beige foam. Nose is a blast of dye fruit, caramel, alcohol, caramelized sugar. A bit unbalanced as much as the mouth: far too sweet, not that fresh on the aftertaste, molasses and caramel. Meh
