Bottle shared with Joes, Dutchdrebus, Countbeer and Martinus. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is quite heavy imo, lots of cocoa and some alcohol. Taste malts, red fruit, cocoa, a slight sourness. Medium body and carbonation.

Deeeep dark colour with a beige head that soon vanish but still leaves a fine lacing. A slightly sour aroma with some caramel notes. Medium body and moderate sweet. A bit sour flavour with a dominant dark malt note. There is something else in this, probably (suprise) cacao....I have to taste some cacao to find out more. Anyway I do not run out to get some more.

Draught @ Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm

Originally rated on 05.10.2012 - Pours pitch black with s foamy light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, hints of roasty malts and spices. Taste is quite roasty with hints of chocolate, vanilla, spices and earthy notes. Finish is malty with hints of roastiness and some off-flavors. Unbalanced, something feels a bit off here.

Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. Black liquid with medium to big tan head. Aroma of cacao, baby corn, sweet malt/grain, butterscotch and dark chocolate. Quite savoury. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of cacao and some ash. Full bodied with medium carbonation. All right, but the savoury baby corn part of the aroma really put me off.

Vet inte vad som hänt? Är mycket bättre på fat men nu, alldeles för tunn. Smak av choklad, vanilj och en aning banan. Lite bitter kakao eftersmak som är trevlig men den vara alldeles för kort.

Draught at the brewpub
The color is almost black, with too small head. Se aroma of dark malts, light smell of ripe fruits (apples). Compared to the Möllan Porter tasted side to side, the mouthfeel is not so smooth and the flavor not so chocolatey; it plays more with medium roasted malts, and the chocolate/cacao is in the background, not so evident. Correct bitterness, with very light malt acidity.
Pleasant, without thrills.

750 ml bottle courtesy of Roland. Consumed on December 25. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a small mocha head that dissipates quickly without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with chocolate, banana, vanilla and some alcohol. Smells almost like a banan split. Taste is rather dry and slightly bitter with cocoa, banana and toasted malts. Finish is slightly sweet without much more going on. It’s rather one-dimensional and slightly watery but yet quite easy to drink.
