This beer, inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger. Best served at 45˚F in a tulip or wine glass.

Yellow-orange color with white head. Aroma is lemongrass, coriander, and that sorachi ace dill, also bananas. Taste is dough, lemongrass, some ginger, quite spicy. A Wit that is different in a lovely way without being overpowered. Lively carbonation, but not too aggressive. Lemon candy aftertaste. Great refresher!

Ever so slightly hazy copper coloured body with hints of orange and a thin white head, less than a centimetre tall. Aroma of grain, coriander seed, wheat, cereal and a touch of curacao. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive coriander seed and curacao flavours up front with some full oranges and light spices noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows more grain and a good deal of unfinished yeast in the mix, all with more body than I expected. Overall, a nicely layered wit with some odd profiles and atypical tastes, but largely still a good beer, especially for the style and even more especially so, served in a can. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 18-July-2014 for US$2,50 sampled at home in Washington on 20-February-2015 a few hours before leaving for Charleston, SC.
