Bis zur Einführung des Reinheitsgebotes wurde ausschließlich Roggen zum Brauen verwendet, bis es Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts kurzzeitig verboten wurde, da man es dringend für die Brotherstellung benötigte. Zur Osterzeit vereint Braumeister Andreas Philipp hochwertige Roggen- & Gerstenmalze und veredelt sie mit feinem Aromahopfen aus Tettnang. Das kostbare Ergebnis ist ein kupferfarbenes, obergäriges Bier mit eigensinnigem Geschmack, 12,8 % Stammwürze und 5,5% vol Alkohol - bestens geeignet zu allen Mahl- und Brotzeiten.

Thanks to kevnic2008 for that one. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, yeasty, wheaty, some earthy-rusty notes, modest sweet. Light bitter background. Finish malty-wheaty, sweetish, modest yeasty. Okay.

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this sample! Murky yellow colour. The beer starts fresh and smooth. Hints of sourness, hints of earth. Not too typical for a Rye-beer, but the earthy and dry rye-aroma is there. Probably too much grain on a too sweetish but highly drinkable grainy body. The aftertaste is not much bitter, smooth with dry and earthy hints.

Vielen Dank an kevnic2008! Sehr trübe orangegoldene Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, Getreide, Karamell. Geschmack sehr malzig, viel Karamell, leicht hefig, gering Roggen, ok!

Starts with a large head of off-white over a dark orange body. Spicy aroma, caramel with some yesty aroma. Lightly sweet with a short finish.

Würzig herber Antrunk, dunkle aber milde Getreidenoten ab dem Mittelteil. Spritzig, zunehmend würziger, die eh milde Herbe nimmt noch etwas ab. Mittellanger getreidiger Nachgeschmack. 11/11/11/11//11
