Black Magic Woman is a Stout.

Black Magic Woman is our interpretation of a unique stout with peat-smoked malt. This is a real “man’s beer”, with a lot of everything. It is brewed with roasted barley malts, birch-smoked malt, peat-smoked malt, caramel malts and ale malt. It is well-hopped in order to balance the hearty malt profile. Black Magic Woman is an excellent accompaniment to desserts, dark chocolate, strong cheeses. It is also allowed to drink it on its own, while relaxing in a good armchair watching a football match.

CBF09. From tap. Pours pitch blach dark brown with a chocolate brown head. Dry roasted and hoppy to spiced hoppy aroma. Light light spiced, smoked and roasted malt flavoured. Dry and malty roasted to acidic malt finish. A bit too sharp to be really good.

On tap. Completely opaque black with a light brown head. Distincly burned malt aroma. Medium body with very burned malts, ashes, coffee and vanilla with a light underlying residual sweetness. Dry and burned malt finish. I don’t really pick up the peaty smoke as described in the commercial description. 150509

at KØ2009 black beer. small head. aroma is peat, smoked, roasted charchoal, roasted grains. nice!, flavor is toffee, old licorice, slightly sourish/fruity. (8,4,6,3,14). bottle pitch dark, dark brown head. beer was a slow gusher, after pouring and sitting seemingly okay for a mine, beer foam kept spilling out of the bottle very slowly. Aroma is licorice, roasted malts, very well composed, thick, faint notes of soy sauce and salt, very faint smoked notes blend well in, and gives it even more character. Flavor is roasted malts, smoked notes in the end, thick mouthfeel, good bitterness, the smoke is charchoal, faint sweet herbal notes, but not in the way, some times the smoke is almost too much, but it do work out well. high bitterness overall.

Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma of black licorice, with some hops and a hint of peat smoke. The aroma is somewhat sweet, and fruity, with peaty notes, and a great roasted bitter finish.
