En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

Black beer with a thin brown head.Light, malty aroma with some chocolate and fruit. Flavour is bitter chocolate, sour berries, some hop, earthy malt. Rich in body without going to the cake-y extremes of some stouts. Bloody nice.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of black coffee and sugary dark fruit. Flavors of oily coffee, syrupy dark chocolate, and rich roasted malts. Big. Feels more like a 12-13% ABV

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of kajser27, shared with him, Marko and franski. Black coloured, small tan head, oatmeal and whiff of caramel in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, decent oatmeal presence and light alcohol with pleasant roasty finish...or in short oatmeal with chocolate.

Shared with Marko, ogivlado and franski. Dark brown to black colored, small+ tan creamy head. Aroma is of strong oatmeal, chocolate, some roasted notes and caramel. Taste is medium sweet chocolate, some dried fruits, strong oatmeal notes, bit nutty, roasted malt, dry medium+ dark chocolate bitterness, lasting aftertaste. Full to medium bodied, creamy, soft carbonation. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Thanks kajser! Shared with him, ogivlado and franski. Very dark brown, cola-tinged near the bottom, grayish beige head, thick white head. Dry malty aroma, heavy in a good way, more dogfood than chocolate though, light alcohol. Soft, silky taste, too subtle. malt, solid alcohol presence, fresh minty herbal notes, vaguely perfumey malty (?!) note. The aftertaste is way more prominent than the actual taste itself, roasty, fine, solid. Warming. All in all... a disappointment for me.

Old rating rerated 27.02.2016, tap @ Kontoret:
Small brown shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, licorice, minerals, hay, coffee, alcohol. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, burnt grain, dark malts, grass, alcohol, burnt caramel, coffee, licorice. Medium bitterness, dry boozy mouthfeel. Fair enough, used to be better before. And it also seems a bit raw, I’d prefer aging it for a few years.
