En svært mørk russisk imperial stout, brygget med pilsnermalt, sjokolademalt, karamellmalt, røstet bygg og havre. Humlen er Northern Brewer og Chinook. Alegjær gjør dette brygget veldig tungt og fyldig.

F: thin, brown, quick gone. C: dark, opaque. A: typical for IS, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark fruits, hint of Porto wine. T: sampled from bottle at ACBF 2017, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, dried fruits, hint of red wine, full body, low to medium carbonation, very good.

ACBF 2017. Thank you for sharing kraddel, tderoeck, Travlr & friends. Sampled 330 ml. bottle. Black, creamy tanned head. Nose is far too umami for me, roasted, licorice & peated even. Taste is peated soy sauce, licorice, charcoal, roast, molasses, soy sauce. Well made but not my style. Body is thick soy sauce molasses. I quite liked the Cherry Port BA edition which I tried prior to this one, seems like there the barrel covered all the aspects of the base beer.

Sampled from tap at ACBF 2017. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish, moderately roasty-malty aroma of milk chocolate, coffee, nougat and some hazelnut. Rather sweet, moderately roasty-malty taste of milk chocolate, coffee, nougat, hazelnut and some licorice, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly dry finish. Almost full-bodied, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Black beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: peated, smoky, roasted, charcoal, dark caramel, cocoa powder, coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter, roasted, alcohol, sweet, some charcoal, bit hoppy, bitter touch. Aftertaste: roasted, coffee, bit sourish, lacking some complexity.

Spore rozczarowanie, moze nie bylo az tak zle ale spodziewalem sie czegos wiecej. Piwo jest w zasadzie jednowymiarowe. Spora slodycz i brak wywazenia miedzy slodkoscia palonoscia i chmielnoscia. Wytrawne to kompletnie nie bylo, brak chmielu totalny, smak likierowe kukulki i coca cola, troche moze nut palonych bylo, troche wiecej dobrej kawy ale slodkosc panowala, na szczescie az tragicznie nie bylo bo przynajmniej udalo sie ukryc potezny alkohol. Wyglad barwa gesta i czarna piana bardzo ciemno brazowa ale mala szybko opada w dodatku nie oblepia szkla. Podsumowujac slaby RIS biorac pod uwage oceny no i z pewnoscia nie jest warte tej ceny jaka dalem.

Bottle from The Hop Beer Shop, Chelmsford, shared at Dan’s. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, malt. Medium plus sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body and thick texture, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, BB 3.2.20. Appearance- pretty much jet black, no head to speak of. Aroma- chocolate fudge, dark fruit hints, Black Forest gateaux, dark chocolate, coffee, dark malts, cherry, hint of vanilla. Smells desserty. Taste- lots of rich coffee, dry roast, chocolate fudge, leather, vanilla, chocolate brownie, treacle toffee, burnt toast. Mouthfeel is thick and a bit fizzy, and chewy. A long bittersweet finish. Lovely stout.

Negra opaca espuma beige duradera. Intenso aroma tostado, chocolate. Oleosa en boca, densa, licórica, potente. Intenso chocolate, que queda en boca y se disfruta en el postgusto largo tiempo... muy buena.
