Die Ursprünge unseres Storchen-Dunkel gehen vermutlich bis auf die Anfangszeit unserer Brauereigründung zurück. Eingebraut mit besonders stark geröstetem Spezialmalz entwickelt es starke Karamellnoten. Diese Bierspezialität wird der Tradition wegen häufig aus Glas- oder Steinkrügen mit besonders breiter Öffnung getrunken.

Draft @ Fränkisches Bierfest, Nürnberg. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.

Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with malt, caramel and breadish notes.

Klares kastanienbraunes Bier mit einer fingerbreiten beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, wenig Kaffee. Geschmack röstmalzig, Kaffee, trocken und gering bitter.

Bottle: Ruby-amber coloured,lacy off-white firm head; caramelly and toasty-malty nose with a very faint hoppy background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft and almost medium bodied; slightly lingerng fruity-caramelly finish with a delicate, balancing bitterness in the aftertaste. Pleasant and well crafted.......

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet and moderately toasted malty aroma with caramel and a nutty touch. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, a bit light bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malty base with nutty flavours, caramel and a slightly rising herbal hops profile towards the medium dry toasty malty finish. Balanced but a bit slim Dunkel. 09.X.10
