Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 1. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Hops in the nose, some pine, some ginger cookies. Big sweet flavor with heavy roast, baking cocoa. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Very oily. Lightly warming to finish with bitter chocolate and earthy bitterness. A fine impy stout.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and chocolate. Thick malty, dark roasted acidic and bitter. Lingering roasted malty, dense dark chocolate. Dark malty finish.

Sample from tap, CBC 2013. Pitch black with an off-white head. Pitch black colour with a small, off-white head. Sweet and roasted aroma with vanilla, rich caramel malts, chocolate, dark, dried fruits and cocoa powder. A hint of alcohol. Taste is sweet. Full body, creamy texture. Finishes dry with roasted notes, chocolate and caramel malts. Good.

Sample at CBC 2013, Saturday. Black with a tan head. On the sweet side with roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, some alcohol and nuts. The finish was bitter and dry.

[5/3/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Black with a light brown head. Boozy aroma with some roastiness and light licorice notes. Flavor has a lot of dark chocolate, alcohol, and a drier finish. Thick full body.
