10 year old bottle shared with the boys, kind courtesy of Imro. Probably past its zenit, but still holding up quite well for its age. No carhonation at all, pleasant bourbon notes here and there, smooth sipper all around.

330ml bottle pours out cola brown topped with a small ring of a head. Nose is sweet malts rich caramel malts and some pit fruit. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel malts toffee pit fruit.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, vanilla and bourbon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with grapes, vanilla and bourbon. Dried fruit. Alcoholic. Vanilla dominating the boozy aftertaste. Interesting beer, but a bit too sweet to become one of my favorites.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is caramel, prunes, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is prunes, bready, a bit wet wood, bourbon, moldy cellar. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Quite interesting, though perhaps a bit too dusty by now.

Bottle. Pours black. Aroma is booze, bourbon barrel, soy sauce, coffee and caramel. Body is heavy, super strong bourbon, even a bit acidic, sweet and boozy, low carbonation. Too much.

33 cl bottle @ home, now over 5 years of age. Very dark color, but not entirely black (you can actually see through it). Frothy beige brown head with short retention. Aroma's: sweet, bourbon, boozy, treacle/molasses, (red) fruit. Retronasal: toffee, dried fruit (light oxidation), bourbon, chocolate, rye. Flavor is (rye-ish) sweet, malty, toffee, boozy. Moderate alcoholfeel. Full bodied. Long finish.

Murky brown colour, barely any head. Deep aroma of malt, caramel, bourbon vanilla, a bit oxidized. Full bodied, very sweet; deep caramel and malt flavour, with strong vanilla, touch of tobacco, slight signs of oxidization, and the high alcohol is wel hidden.
Excellent sipper, a sweet Barley Wine.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark brown colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy and light yeasty aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Fantastic creamy palate. Wonderfull.

Süß malziger Antrunk. Geringe Karbonisierung, deutlich Karamell, Kakao, cremig. Die starke Süße stört auf Dauer etwas, dennoch insgesamt rund, wenig alkoholisch. Karamell, Kakao, langer Nachhall. Monoton, dennoch gut. 10/12/8/12/12/12
