750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, reddish, dark amber colour with a small, late awakening layer of off-white bubbles. Woody, oaky, minimally vinous, mellow caramel malty aroma, Taste is dry, vinous, slightly tannic and oaky; thin, light bodied, monotonous, flat carbonation. Seems like the BA rather distracted than added flavours - unless the primary basic Doppelbock was already designed to reach an ideal of tofu itself representing Swiss neutrality.

Trocken oxidierter Antrunk, etwas malzig. Dumpf, unrund, minimale Herbe. Leicht würzig, minimale Säure. Nicht gelungen. 9/8/7/7/6/7

Bottle by Beerhunter111. Hazy brown colour. Strong fruity sweetish aroma, plums, cherry. Taste seems a bit unbalanced to me - there is an underattenuated sweet impression balanced brutally by rough woody element, slightly sourish. Overall lacks some rounding around the edges.

Woody-viney dark nose. No head with minimal carbonation. The beer starts deep with winey-sourish-woody hints. Very smooth. Great full body, deep with a nice red wood-malt combination with a subtle sourness that makes it highly drinkable. Smooth malty-winey aftertaste, hints of caramel, soft, milk-chocolate. Long woody-malty aftertaste. Great.
