330 mL bottle poured. Thick, dark, copper tinted brown color pour with a tan fizz head. Peaty malt aroma. Flavor has a pretty heavy sweetness to it, paired with a smokey malt. Rich, creamy body to it. Syrupy, but positive. Brown sugar maybe. Overall a fun scotch ale with definitely no shortage in things going on with it. Multi layered, and well executed. Very nice.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, light whiskey and caramel bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with subtle smoky whiskey upfront, followed immediately by dark fruits and caramel bready malt. Surprisingly light for being 9.5%, but well-constructed and balanced. Solid.

Bottle from het Biermoment, large sample. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of caramel, burnt malts, molasses, slight autumn leaves, slight licorice, apple syrup, hint of booze. Quite sweet in taste, molasses, apple syrup, roast, licorice. Finishes quite dry. Takes a while to get used to, but in the end pretty nice.

330 ml bottle. Pours an almost opaque Brian with light head. Aromas of dark sugar and nutty brownies. Flavors of acidic nuts, phenols, bread crusts, and wet dark malts. Light lingering bitter finish. Much different than others - maybe off?

Bottle @ home. Brown colour, small off-white head. Smells and tastes sweet and roasty. Pretty pleasant balance. Like when a double meets a porter. Medium body, soft carbo.
