Unique Imperial Stout. Black, intense and komplex. Well-balanced roasted, fruity and liquorice notes with a mild bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Legendary brew from BFM clocking in at 10.276 % vol. With its ebony colour, a dense coffee flavoured foam, the bouquet incorporates hints of liquorice, Bourbon vanilla, and Sarawak pepper. Dry hopping notes and the use of roasted malts are also perceptible. On the palate, it introduces burly and creamy tastes with developing aromas that are slightly sour, but the finish proves to be long with a subtle tartness that grants this revolutionary Cuvee its ungovernable supremacy.

Dark brown color, almost black, with a generous, brownish, frothy head; it has strage small floaters on the surface. The aroma is mild, some chocolate and a light vinous note. Good body, with a good caramel flavor, complemented by a mild sourness and wine touch, light spices, and correct bitterness. Balanced and pleasant.

I had another bottle a few months ago that was great.

Black color, with a creamy head. It’s a good beer, with a weaker body than an Imperial Stout requires, and the typical BFM sourness; there is a light alcohol feeling; good, but different than I remembered. Must try again.

Black color; creamy head. The aroma strikes first with a clean chili pepper, followed by white pepper, malt, fudge, mint and other herbs; finally, there is even a light fruity aroma. Good mouthfeel, good malt and caramel flavor, clean; medium sweetness, with a touch of roasted malt, pepper, herbs, vegetables, liquorice. It has a correct bitterness level. Crazy beer, but very good; unique.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Near black, rich but brief head. Intricate tobacco aroma. Medium sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Concentrated flavours where salty aniseed meets orange and smoke. No flavour really takes control making it complex, although a bit disaorganized. As always from BFM it’s an unusual but very tasty beer.
