Draft. A brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, roasted malt, and wood.

Draught @ CBC. Pours slightly hazy dark brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of heavy sweet malt, rye, caramel, oak, dark fruits, bourbon. Flavor is rich malt, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits, figs, plums, alcohol. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, light warming alcohol. 040513

Draught @ CBC2013. Pours hazy dark wooden brown with a big frothy goldenish brown head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and maly with sweet dark bread. cookies, brandy, charred wood, raisins, figs, prunes and hints of coconut and alcohol. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, biscuits, sweet dark bread, charred wood, coconut, brandy, raisins, figs and dates. Mouthfeel is soft, smooth, roound and near full bodied. Tap at Mikkeller and Friends. Poured a dark mahogany colour with a broken off white head. The aroma is big fruit and alcohol and I even swear there is a hint of Marmite yeastyness too. The flavour is big rich, fruity, red berries, brandy alcohol. It’s 11%, but the alcohol bitterness doesn’t dominate. A truly superb beer.

Sample @ CBC. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are bourbon, roast malt, wood, vanilla, caramel, fruits and hops. Lovely!

[5/3/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Murky brown. Malty aroma with chocolate, brandy, vanilla and wood. Sweet alcoholic flavor with chocolate, vanilla, caramel notes and some fruitiness. Oily mouthfeel.

Draught at CBC ’13. Hazy deep copper liquid medium brown head. Aroma of raw sugar, vanilla, bread, pumpernickel and port wine. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with notes of raw sugar, wood and bread. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

On tap at CBC, pours a deep dark mahogany with a big beige head. Aroma of brandy barrels upfront, candied fruits, booze and caramel. Flavour brings out big brandy notes upfront, caramel, deep dark fruits, and candied sugar. Very complex, full of brandy notes and lingering sweetness without cloying. Great stuff.
