It is simply a great imperial stout. The taste is powerful, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, touch of cognac, hop, black and dense color, 16.06.16, directly at the brewery, in family, at Shanghai.

Sweet but not cloying, this is a really enjoyable stout with notes of coffee, cherry and honey, but it's the toast finish that really makes it.

Poured up on tap at RBWG16 where it exhibits a nice inky black body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up burnt chocolate brownies, dark roasted malts and then chocolate bar toward the end of the draw. Nice! The taste is similar as I get dark roasted to burnt malts and then a chocolate brownie sensation. Wow, this is smooth and rich and deep. Terrific sipper.

Draft - Big roasty notes off the bat. Jet black with a decent beige head. Roasty and ticks all the boxes of the style. Solid.
