(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber coloured and effervescent hue with a beige and tall foamy head. Slightly sugary sweet cara-malty aroma with hints of dried fruits. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Caramel-malty and slightly fruity taste with notes of candy; sweet and slightly fruity finish with notes of caramel, a very restrained bitterness and a well-masked alcoholic notes. 24.V.11

Toffee dark brown pour with a brownish almost reddish cream head. Light-bodied for 8% abv. No sediment. Nutty, sweet ale. I really liked this one.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a fluffy, off-white head and a slightly hazed amber body. Aroma of bananas, alcohol and chocolate. Taste is chocolate, raisins, toffee with a light herbal note. Light bubbles, slightly thin on the mouth.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Very deep russet, thick rocky beige head. Some Belgian aroma. Sweetish in mouth. Some dry malt on aroma, a little lactic. Fullish in mouth, very sweet malty, milky. Bit of sting on end. A bit of syrupy alcohol. Reasonably creamy and full in mouth. Not my favourite from this brewery.

750 ml bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Very dark amber color with a frothy beige head. Aroma resembles an Abt/Quad with some citrus notes. Medium plus body with coarsely creamy carbonation. Flavor is dark fruit, dark caramel and spices like anise and citrus zest. Puts tingle all over my tongue. Finishes freshly dark and mildly bitter. Touches my palate like an Abt/Quad . It’s just delicious.

A dark amber to brown ale with a thick luscious light moka head. A nice caramel, dark fruit, and light fudge aroma, very pleasing. In mouth, tingly caramel malt with licorice, nuts, warming alcohol, and light coriander and other spices. Lingering spices in mouth. Medium bodied for the style. For some reasons, diminishes the funkiness of the Pere Joseph cheese sampled with the beer.
