Tap at Stadsbrouwhuis, Leiden: Cloudy blonde colored brew with thirstquenching abillities, but with Americanesque hoppy hints.

Draft. Aroma of banana yeast, wheat sweet esters. Taste has sweet banana yeast, wheat and malt. Eh.

Refrigerated 33 cL brown bottle, best by February 02, 2020 into a glass. Cloudy golden with small white head. Aroma is wheat esters, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is grainy wheat esters.

Bottle at home. Hazy golden with short lasting white head. Light sweet and light sour wheat grain, sourdough, lemons. Under medium body and soft carbonation. I've had many better and some worse weizens. There's non of that fine carbonated creaminess that makes the best weizens such a pleasure to drink. I want more banana. It's a bit flat and harsh and thin bodied.

Fluffy, somewhat irregular off-white head, with a bit of lace, fed by very lively carbonated orangey-golden beer, hazy. End of bottle full Hefe. Nose with aroma of fresh pipetobacco, if fleetingly, then orangezeste, flattening in time. Maybe a tad of solvent remaining; Bitterish. Again some tobacco! dry leaves, very faint caramel. Finish shows some wheat, but hardly any acidity. Solvent again arriving late, the only typical Weizen feature. Bit sticky, not very well bodied, but very carbonated. Strange beer, certainly for a "Weizen".

Bottle @ home. A bit hazy orange color, medium to full sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste wheat, slightly a hint of herbs or spices, lightly sweet initally but in the finish bitterness accompanied by some sharp a bit fizzy carbonation. Not a typical weizen.

Bottle shared at get kermis to 8k tasting, thanks to deanso. Hazy golden with fluffy white head. Dried apple, spices, quite some herbs, minerals, sand, some sweet grains. Light sweet and medium bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not a classic weizen, that’s for sure. Not my thing.
