Sweet malt dominates the aroma and taste. Honey colored beer with fast dissolving head, a little bit of sediment clouds the beer on pour. This is typical of the German heller bocks, to be sweet, however this one is bit stronger than the norm. Once you get used to the taste (it’s been a while since I’ve had a heller bock), it’s smooth and slick. Not much aftertaste, but a welcome taste of spring.

33cl bottle. Golden beer with a good formation of off-white head. Creamy and moderate lasting. Aroma is malty, grassy and herbal. Flavour is slightly sweet, malty, bready, with a final slightly bittery. Dense on palate with a bready and mild sweet aftertaste. Carbonation is soft. Body is medium to high. Texture is oily.

500ml bottle-thanks to jtclockwork for sharing–pours a dissipating white head with yellow color. Aroma is fruity, sweet light/medium malt. Taste is fruity/spice/floral hops, sweet light/medium malt-bready.

500 mL bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium creamy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Fruity aroma along with notes of corn, apple and toasted malts. Taste is toasted malts, green apple, caramel and some grassy hops. Smooth, medium bodied.
