Malzig getreidiger Antrunk, dessen Intensität erst einmal enttäuscht. Im Verlauf weich schokoladig, die Intensität bleibt mild. Geringe Herbe, das Malz bleibt konstant. Kaum erkennbare Fasslagerung. 9/8/9/9/14/9

Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, mittelgroße bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch holzig, bourbon, Vanille, Schokolade. Geschmack sehr röstmalzig, süß, Karamell, Kaffee, holzig, alkoholisch.

Bottle, sampled at the Boise imperial stout tasting. Very dark brown color with a thing ring of brown head. Complex aroma of bourbon (love the rye barrel) and roasted malts. A little vanilla and chocolate too. A sweeter barrel aged taste with modest roast and a little of spicy floral bitterness. Nice medium weight. Surprisingly easy to drink at 12%. Fine stuff.

Location: Bottle shared at Max and Andy's Tasting, 2/28/15
Aroma: Solid aroma of dark malts, wood, and bourbon
Appearance: Dark brown-black colored beer with a light brown head
Flavor: Similar taste-wise, with a good mix of dark malts and barrel and rye flavor
Palate: It is smooth and clean, with a soft carbonation, and a very smooth feel
Overall Impression: This beer works nicely, especially the mouthfeel. I enjoyed this one. I would drink this again.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Nose/taste of rye, oak, vanilla, dark fruit, caramel, and roast chocolate. Medium body.
