A blond, clear, top-fermented beer with an aroma of Saaz hops. The soft malt character and perfumed fruitiness of pears and apples come into their own during the aftertaste. Fine aroma hops are added at different times during brewing. We add the Saaz hops at the very end of the brewing process. This is how we obtain the beautiful hop aroma. The second fermentation in the bottle (and barrel) ensures that the beer can be kept longer (up to 2 years) and that the taste continues to evolve during this storage.

Bottled. Cloudy golden. Deep, pleasantly papery malt flavour. Medium sweet with notes of toffee and grass. Fairly bitter finish. Good, very typical van Steenberge beer.

Cloudy light yellow color, huge frothy head. Aroma is yeasty, spicy and fruity of citrus and green apple. Taste is sweet and fruity sour, green apple again. It gets better after a few sips.

Pale hazy straw colour; thick luxurious white head. Citrussy nose - and wet dog. Nice, again lemony taste, and adequate sweetish malt underneath. Refreshing mouthfeel, light but not watery. Nice try. Difficult to pinpoint in style, but deserves quite some credit. First brewed at de Proefbrouwerij, now at Van Steenberge, but really supposed to be original.
