A blond, clear, top-fermented beer with an aroma of Saaz hops. The soft malt character and perfumed fruitiness of pears and apples come into their own during the aftertaste. Fine aroma hops are added at different times during brewing. We add the Saaz hops at the very end of the brewing process. This is how we obtain the beautiful hop aroma. The second fermentation in the bottle (and barrel) ensures that the beer can be kept longer (up to 2 years) and that the taste continues to evolve during this storage.

Bottle Hazy, yellow body. White, frothy to rocky head. Fastly diminishing head. Nice looks. Aroma of citrus, orange, hops, bit caramel malts, flowers, honey, yeast and the Van Steenberge touch. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Dry finish. Not bad, but not special either.

Bottle: Poured a golden carbonated with large white lacing head. The aroma is sour citrus with wine like hints. Taste was very sour perfume with some fruit acidicness, aftertaste has a bit of malt and metal. This may have been an infected bottle!

Bottle, 8.5%. Slightly vinous aroma with a little rough hop notes. Clear yellow colour, stable white head. Perfumy, vinous flavour, some pepper and quite phenolic. Reminds me a little of a European Strong Lager. Perfumy and yeasty finish. High carbonation.

Bottled. Hazy golden wih a lot of sediment floating around when the yeast is poured with a medium beige head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of dusty hops, and spicy notes especially muscat and coriander, as well as yeasty notes. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruits especially peaches as well as strong spicy notes of cinnamon, muscat, and coriander, and lighter notes of yeast and alcohol, leading to a dry fruity end where the alcohol tickles the tongue.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, pale golden with a tall, white head leaving laces. Distinct aroma of yeast and diacetyl. Medium body, notes of sulphur, yeast and fruit. Quite sweet. But rather flawed and unclean. 090507

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is sweet and sour fruits along with some yeast. Flavour is big raisins, wheat and sour fruit. Also some spicyness is to be found. Rather appleish beer.

Bottle. Golden, champagne carbonation, frothy off-white head. Light minerallic and peachy/citric nose. Dusty malt, minerallic yeast a bit pineapple. Overcarbonated fizzy mouthfeel. Unsatisfactory somehow...

Hazy yellow, lively CO2, big cloudy head. Lemony, acidy nose with some cardboard and black currant aromas. Crisp with attacking acidity, then some sugary notes. Long acidy-bitter aftertaste. Digestive tripel.
