A blond, clear, top-fermented beer with an aroma of Saaz hops. The soft malt character and perfumed fruitiness of pears and apples come into their own during the aftertaste. Fine aroma hops are added at different times during brewing. We add the Saaz hops at the very end of the brewing process. This is how we obtain the beautiful hop aroma. The second fermentation in the bottle (and barrel) ensures that the beer can be kept longer (up to 2 years) and that the taste continues to evolve during this storage.

33 cl. bottle @ De Stroopop in Zoersel. BBF 17/04/2015. Almost clear bright golden with an off-white head. Nose is iron, candy, orange & pretty heavy on esters. Taste is pretty basic, plenty of esters, slightly boozy, orange peel, apples, candy sugar, touch iron,β¦ Light, touch higher carb. Pretty dull & basic brew. Nothing objectionable here.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear yellow color with some chunks floating in it, soapy white head that disappears quickly. Faint aroma of malts, lightly sweetness and lightly herbs or spices. Taste lightly malts, some sweetness. Too sweet, too much carbonation and only a medium body.

Bottle from 2 be in Bruges. Pours dark gold with a frothy white head. Light fruity aroma, suggesting citrus. Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is citric, bitter, yeasty, spicey. Finishes bitter. This seems to be a pretty good beer.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear gold, thin white head. Faint citrus and crystallised tangerine aroma. Itβs like a strongish blond to be honest with the odd nod towards a tripel. Itβs a drinkable strong blond with a bit of syrupy malt in the middle, some candied fruit on the finish and even a bit of hop. Yep, itβs fine.
