Draught @ In de Wildeman shared with bierkoning. Slightly hazy amber color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a bit herbal and a bit weird. Perhaps the combination of aniseed and orangepeel? Even though I don’t get orangepeel in it. The anise dominates it I guess.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 14 Sep 2016) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, red fruit, toffee, orange peel, lingonberries, aniseed and a touch of ginger. Malty taste with caramel, red fruit, blood orange, cranberries, coriander and a fairly dry finish with a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Interesting and quite spicy, still in good balance. Nice one.

[9/21/16] Draught at In De Wildeman in Amsterdam. Deep amber. Strong aroma of anise and orange peels. Flavor has sweet malt, lots of anise, bitterish, and a bit of orange peels. Medium-bodied. Really not my thing.

Tap at the Wildeman, Amsterdam. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is big anisseed which pretty much dominates. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery floral hop bitter, light mineral palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
