Tap @ In De Wildeman, sample size glass. Pitch black color. Rather dense light-brown head, with a thin layer retention. Aroma’s: roast, tar, light iodine. Retronasal there’s mocha, sweetness, red fruit/berries, tar, roast, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, chocolate-y. Mediumd bodied. Finishes with roast, woody, moderate to full bitter. Drinks deceptively easy.

THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Black, solid creamy dark mocha head. Nose is thick sweet mocha syrup with roasted malts, there is some burned mocha here & cacao. Taste & body is thick syrup, herbal, roast, molasses, lingering syrup, long herbal finish, licorice, burned roast, boozy in the finish. Slightly crude mix of molasses, licorice and roast etc. thick syrupy. Not very attenuated or intricate but satisfactory for sure.. Shame that it is named after a revolting individual.

Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy roasty alcoholic aroma with toffee, butterscotch and chocolate notes. Sweet earthy chocolatey taste with alcoholic roasty notes. Full-bodied. Hot, soft mouthfeel. Sweet earthy coffee and chocolate aftertaste with mineraly pine needle notes. It’s good, but surprisingly lacking in complexity for so strong a beer. Also somewhat alcoholic in flavour. (0.5l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

Sampled from tap at ’In de Wildeman’ during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, vanilla and hazelnut. Sweet, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, some coffee, hazelnut, vanilla and some rum, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Bottle at THT. Black with nice to head. Lots of sweet coffee notes, English hops, soft citrus, dark chocolate, some more espresso, fudge, some light flowery notes, roasted nuts, brown sugar. Over medium sweet with roasted bitter finish. Almost full bodied with slick feel. Nice.
