Bottle, 12%. Not much aroma for a beer of this strength, but an OK coffee note. Black colour. Very big stable creamy dark brown head. The flavour is very sweet, has a lot of jam notes, so much sugar. Spicy, but it is hard to taste anything over the sugar. Even the 12% ABV cannot balance the sweetness.

Tasted from the tap on the 14/03/2015. Pours black colour with a medium lazy beige head. Aroma of vegeteables, coffee, sugar and roasted malts. Taste is sweet with a lot of sugar and intense on the coffee flavour. Aftertaste is sweet. Next one please!

Bottle. A black one, pouring a dense, finger-thick light tan head. The aroma has some cooked vegetables (not dms), with some caramel, roasted malts, chocolate and some coffee hints. Lots of dark sugar. It’s quite sweet on the palate, with dark sugars and dark caramel, quite a lot of dark dried fruits and some coffee hints. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Lasting finish. A bit weird aroma, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 150314

50 cl. bottle poured in to a Snifter. Apparently this should be one of the 5 best beers above 6 % abv. in 2014 according to the Danish Beer Enthusiasts. Best before World War III. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Fruity, rather mild aroma for a 12 % abv. imperial stout with dark malts, coffee, caramel, chocolate with yeasty and vinous notes. Taste is light sweet. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with overripe fruits, rich malts, a hint of liquorice and yeasts. Nice Stout that unfortunately lacks some bittering hops.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 10.11.2024, at Pikkulintu, 20150205) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had molasses, burnt malts, liquorice and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. Alcohol was well hidden and the molasses aroma was really surprising. Nice brew.
