Bottle from Tesco Extra, Aylesbury, Bucks, Tuesday 3rd June 2014 Pours rusty orangey colour with a white sticky head. Tangy with a suprisingly harsh and quite hard bitterness, it has a dry finish. This is very bitter and hoppy in fact I am very, very surprised with how interesting this is. A damn good beer, but for those who like their American IPA’s this may prove a little challenging. 0.5l bottle. A crystal clear deep golden almost copperish looking one with a medium sized bubbly and light lacing just off-white top. It has quite a sweet nose with rich caramel,a strong English fruitiness with light herbal grassy tones and some red Apple zest. The aroma is not bad at all, classic English style. In the mouth it has a mild oily feeling and the carbonation is just below average. More English bitter flavors, just tubed up a knot. More red zesty melony flavors with a good malty base. Fruity and a bit sweet perhaps, a day it ends with a slightly dry bitter hay/tea-like aftertaste. No a extremely memorable beer, but it definitely gets the thirst away. 08.12.2013
