Murphy's Law reversed! When you have an off spec beer you are left with two choices. Dump it or play with it. We at Nøgne Ø believe in seeing the possibilities and grasping the opportunities given. Our miscoloured Saison was put in fresh red wine barrels, and the flavours created we found irresistible. So we made more. This bottle contains a blend of our finest red wine barel aged Saison.

330ml bottle pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice tartness some spice. Taste is more of the nice sour tartness spice. This is very nice.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 16 Sep 2016) Hazy golden yellow colour with foamy white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, spicy nose with lemon, peaches, hay and hints of funky yeast. Malty, fruity taste with bread, citrus, peaches, spicy yeast and a balanced floral bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Spicy and tasty, well made saison. Nice one.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a huge lazing white head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, citrus fruits, yeast, and pepper. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits, hops, yeast, and spices, leading to a dry finish.

Hazy. orange-amber colored, small off white head. Aroma is of red wine, Brett funk, some tart fruity notes and bit spicy. Taste is medium sweet tart fruit and red wine, bit barrel, good amount of Bretty funk, bit caramel, some yeast, light toast and some spices, light sourness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily. Pretty good! (bottle, Magic Beer Room, Zagreb)

At the MBR Sour/Wild beer gathering. Huge thanks Ludo! Batch 977, it says. Yellow murky body. Small white head. Huge honey in the aroma, which goes on into the taste, this time supporeted by solid carbonation. Perfumey sweetish honey, but quite fresh. Atypical saison but quite tasty.

Flaske 0.33L.
