Bottle, at Cardinal. It’s an almost clear one, dark brown in colorand with a dense, two-finger beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is lighlty roasted, with piney and citrusy ops. Some coffee notes. Bitter, roasted flavor with a touch of coffee, and the hops doing a mans job. Quite effervescent on the palate, medium to full-bodied and dryish. Lasting bitterness with a roasted touch. A nice one, but nothing special going on. 131019

500 ml bottle at Cardinal. Practically black body with a big, creamy beige head. Aroma has some roasted malt, but the fruity hops dominates here. Flavor is sweet, dark, mild roasted malt, quite bitter, fruity with some pine. Medium body and fruity, bitter aftertaste. A nice one, but a bit straight forward in a way.

Bottle on the train from Inverness to Plockton, from Tomlinsons, 19/10/13. Light black with a mahoosive light tan head. Nose is light roast, earthy cocoa, hops, pine, light tropicals. Taste comprises tangy tropical fruit notes, earthy, pine, light hoppage, grapefruit, ashy notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with light hop bitterness. Ok CDA but far from a great.

330ml bottle. Clear ruby red glowing dark brown colour with average to huge, frothy to macropore, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Peppery, piney, herbal hop aroma, hints of green onions. Taste is dark malty with a coffee note, bitter, minimally piney and herbal hoppy overtones. Not bad, really not bad...
