33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 15.01.2011
Aroma is somewhat malty with chocolate, fruity notes, caramel and hints of spices. Flavour is sweetish with caramel, some toffee, Belgian yeast and ripe fruits. Your typical dubbel.

28/X/12 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: IX/11 (2012-1207) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!

GUSHER alert! Clear purple brown beer, fizzy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: dry and dusty, bit peppery, chocolate, bit sweet. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: raisins, dusty, overripe banana, sweet, some cocoa powder, overripe fruits. Aftertaste: some dried fruits, chocolate, rotten fruits, something off. Needs a rerating from a fresher bottle... but it was infected anyway, before or after the BBE date...

33cl bottle @Viisi penniä, Helsinki. Poured red amber with a white head. Aroma had light barnyard notes, berries and yeast. Flavor had berries, caramel, yeast, light bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. I got to think about Nognes Tyttebaer when drinking this. Felt more like a mix of a wild ale and a dubbel. Complex and enjoyable.

A nice brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet caramel malt with maderized notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet nutty malt with light treacle, a bit oxidized, but still in good shape. BB Dec 2009. Tasted Oct. 16 2011.
