NO RULES were followed throughout the creation of this product. This gigantic 15% Imperial Porter is deceptively smooth and subtly sweet with layers of flavor that never seem to end. Some say it tastes like a Mounds candy bar that’s been dipped over and over again in rich chocolate and soaked in bourbon. Other people find flavors of coconut, cinnamon, toffee, vanilla, and coffee — and they would also be correct. This beer is special and there’s a reason why it was named as the top beer in the World.

22 oz. bottle. Pours black with some ruby tints. The head is fleeting and fizzy. The aroma is vanilla beans, oak, black cherries, milk chocolate, anise, and lovely booze. Very sweet, with a sharp, boozy bite. Heavy body, with a slick, sharp mouthfeel. This is a decadent and delicious porter. So good...

65 cl bottle @ ISKTR’18
Aroma has some odd cellar vibes. Also alcohol, licorice, molasses and toasted sugar. Flavour has cocoa, alcohol, strong maltiness, alcohol and cellar vibes. Hides the ABV well. Way too sweet, could work as a dessert in small amounts.

Sample from the bottle at Kangasalan Kasarmi. Thanks to Rosenberg! Colour is dark brown with very small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, sugary sweetness, coconut, some chocolate, some coffee and roasted malts. Heavy but too sugary.

Rating #6900! Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice slightly opaque brown glow along with a thinnish, relatively quick-dying deep tan and light beige head. Aroma of ridiculously nice coffee, canella, condensed milk, lactose, alcohol, vanilla, allspice, coconuts, toffee and a good deal of aniseed. Full-bodied; Strong rich lactose and full cream with a ton of vanilla and canella noticeable up front with a ton of light malts, coffee, earth, light nuts, grain, coconuts, anise and even a faint hint of lemongrass and curry leaves. Aftertaste is very deep, intensely complex and rich with the roasted malt, alcohol, coffee, earth, toffee and caramelised sugar notes with a super assertive finish of coconuts, curry and a few hundred vanilla pods here - this is very vanilla-y in a great way. Overall, a very nice and complex Imperial Porter that shows amazing characteristics that blend so nicely and hit strong, but also are complex, balanced and well situated amongst the 15,0% abv that the time has done wonders and is seemingly at the right time to drink, but another year or two might have been good, as this wasn't too thin yet. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Seaway Party Store in Grand Haven, Michigan on 09-September-2015 for US$16,99 (a lot of money up there) sampled at home in Washington on 22-June-2018, sort of close to 3 years after purchase as Beer Rating #6900!!!

Bottle, 650 ml, from Dive Bar NYC. Shared with JFK10000 and Max. Pours black with small beige head. Lots of nuts chocolate, nuts, nutella. Some bourbon. Low carbonation. Syrupy and sugary. Too sweet. Full bodied. Good, but expected a bit more. Maybe I've tried it too late in the evening.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2017
Black color. Nice coconut and chocolate aroma. Rich chocolate flavor, sweet, full bodied, with warming alcohol. It's like boozy Bounty Bar, delicious.
