Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig, zoet en kruidig met iets van karamel, perenstroop en zoet fruit.

Bottle shared, as usual with a cute label of an elf with big eyes looking seductively at you while you’re worrying about what has just been poured into your glass. The beer is a slight hazy brown with a small short lived tan head. Aromas of malt, toffee, butterscotch, caramel, light herbal notes and yeast. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Not so bad this one, but pretty one dimensional.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Modeste 2015. Red amber, small tanned head. Nose is metallic BE syrup, caramel, sugar, heavily sweet. Taste is huge sweetness, BE syrup, cough syrup, caramel, herbal syrup. Taste is BE-style cough syrup. Far too sweet but not too bad as a beer. Okay.

*Old rating, best before 06.2013. Nettes, tief dunkles, malzig-erdiges Bier. Leichtes Röstmalz, viel Süße, ein Hauch von deutlicher Süße, dickflüssig, malzig, nett.
