Bottle, courtesy of Mister_Li, thanks! Pours unclear amber. Aroma is paperboard, little banana, citric hops, some grass - but really mostly paperboard, wet. Body is light and thin, a bit too watery. Some banana, some hops bitterness, but all rather soft and not well-defined. Lowish carbonation. Dry palate, with finally some typical banana flavours. I probably wouldn't have been able to tell this is a Kristallweizen if it weren't for the palate. Okay.

Out of the bottle in Mainz 2018. Nice fruity tropical beginning. Nice smooth Weizen there, crisp with tropical floral ness on a moderate smooth and not too bitter body.

Fläschle: Deep golden, almost clear, big creamy, stable and lacy off-white head; moderate dryish nose of - indeed - tropical fruits with a wheaty-bready background; mild to moderate bitter flavour; quite soft, quite light bodied; lingering exotic-fruity finish with some mild bitter and even less detectable tart-sourish traces.Pretty good, but by Hessen standards superb...

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, deep golden colour with a big and minimally off-white foamy head. Wheaty and slightly toasted malty aroma with hints of caramel, tea, phenolic spices, as well as fruity notes of banana, honey melon and citrus. Mildly sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Obvious wheat character with shades of banana, phenolic spices and dry-hopped feel including citrus, melon and mildly piney notes, lingering into the mildly bitter hoppy and delicately sweet finish. Okay, but dispensable. 05.IX.17

Bottle from a shop in downtown Frankfurt. Pours amber orange with a lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma of wheat, butter, banana, melon, light citrus fruit, and dough. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Light body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Finish is lightly acidic and leaves a taste of banana cake.

Sampled @ CRAFT Frankfurt 2017. Klare goldgelbe Farbe, mittelgroße weiße schaumkrone. Geruch ist mild hopfig, dezent bananig, Ananas. Geschmack ist leicht grasig hopfig, hefig, dezent bananig, Heu, Ananas.

01-04-17 // sampled at CRAFT Frankfurt 2017. Clear golden beer solid white head. Light banana yeastiness with fresh hop fruitiness, melon and ananas. Good carbonation. Refreshing. Great beer.
