The hop. Humulus lupus. We worship this mischievous flower and its elusive oils. Our IPA captures the flavours and aromas of the Cascade, Columbus and Chinook hops. This beer sings ‘All hail the hop!’

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras and drunk at home. Hazy dark amber lasting white head. Amber colour lasting white head. Some good hop aroma but also some very slight plastic. Better in mouth, some caramel malt. Sweetish IPA. Some bitterness on the finish, which is kinda the best thing about the beer other than the flavour. It’s ok apart from the aroma.

Bottle @ home, thanks to trade with minutemat if memory serves me correctly. Clear orange to dark golden color, full sized a bit rough white to off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts and hops, but unfortunately also a bit sweaty and dusty. Have I left it in the cellar for too long? Well it’s been there for a little over a month so it shouldn’t be affected too much should it? Anyway, taste also has malts and a sweaty, old hops flavor. Some bitterness in there for sure but it doesn’t make up for the hops gone bad. Perhaps I will have a chance to try it again some time.

Bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Hazy gold with a decent, off-white head. Tropical fruit aroma of pineapple and grapefruit, some cereal malts, touch of sweetness before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

330ml bottle. Clear orange-brown amber colour, foam white head leaving some lacing and aroma of peach, citrus, pine hop resin. Taste is sweet malt caramel with woody pine and tangy citrus grapefruit bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from Good Taste Food and Drink, Crystal Palace, London - fuzzy golden pour with a small white head. Aroma and taste is hoppy fruity, citrus and tropical notes, grapefruit and pine prominent, light grassy, dry to bitter finish. Nice!

Keg at The House of Trembling Madness, at 7.2%. Light hazy yellow pour, nice pine and grapefruit aromas. Taste has decent bitterness. Clean finish. Any subtleties of this beer were lost though, as we then sipped the (unrateable) Koelschip Mystery of Beer, which was a totally palate-destroying experience.

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Hazy, golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with grape, peach, pines and citrus. Taste is bitter. Medium body, rather rough carbonation. Lingering dry, bitter and fruity finish. Nice.
