The hop. Humulus lupus. We worship this mischievous flower and its elusive oils. Our IPA captures the flavours and aromas of the Cascade, Columbus and Chinook hops. This beer sings ‘All hail the hop!’

Dean Swift. Bottle. Hazy amber beer with a tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is minerally crisp. Light and thin malt. Light hops - nice orange and orange peel. Mellow pine and a whisper of tropical fruits and hop spice. Finishes crisp. Refreshing. Good start! A beer in the Kernel and Partizan mode. Will need to up the hop intensity a lot to compete with those stellar breweries though.

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Hazy amber. Tight, white, lasting head. I’m finding this beer a tad odd. Aroma is very slight. Hint of lemon, orange. Banana toffee maybe. Everything happens on the palate. Very full on. Bittersweet to start. Huge, dry finish. Really enjoyed this.

Bottle courtesy of my dad, cheers dad! I believe that he picked it up from the brewery. I had this at a wonderful house where we were staying that belongs to the Blackwells family in Appleton, Oxon, Friday 30th August 2013. Pours hazy amber with a large sticky white head. Lovely and lemony, soft, juicy, squidgy, sweet lemon. Really hoppy beer, nice bittersweetness, excellent, good thrusting punchy bitterness, some dryness at end, very enjoyable. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Amber brown color. The nose is fairly austere, and the hops don’t shine. I kinda wonder if they boiled too long. The mouth is clean, but again for an American style IPA the hops don’t shine. Some what astringent. Little bitterness in the end. Has potential, but falls flat.
