It’s taken us nearly 160 years to create the perfect lager, and we wanted to make sure it was uniquely Cornish. Crafted at our brewery in St Austell and bottled in amber glass to protect the freshness, Korev has a wonderful pale colour and a clean, crisp taste. We think you’ll agree it’s been worth the wait.

330ml can and brewed in the Helles lager style according to the blurb. Yellow gold, small bubbly white head, didn't last long. Aroma of pale malts, grain, grass, lemon citrus; more hoppy than the average lager which is promising. Its clean, crisp, fairly malty and semi-sweet. There is a grain flavour with nice lemon and floral hints so as not to be one-dimensional. Nice.

Bottle that the owners of our holiday cottage left for us - cheers! In return I'd like to say that Hillview Cottage in Millendreath was a delightful property and I'd highly recommend it. Anyway, to the beer. It's yellow-gold with a rapidly vanishing white head and a rather aggressive fizz. A little butter, some lemon, a hint of green leaves and a bit of black pepper in the finish. Crisp, clean and refreshing. I dislike lagers normally, but this is the second one on the trot I've quite enjoyed. Maybe I'm coming around to them?

Bottle from Waitrose, somewhere. A pretty bland lager that feels somewhat flat. clear moist appearance with light bubbles. 1 month out of date.

Golden colour. A very bland and plain lager but has basic malt profile and a little floral hop.

Keg at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Used to drink this all the time at annual golf weekends in Devon (it was that or Doombar) but not had it for a few years. Slight spicey/malty aroma. Light gold. Any head soon disappears entirely. Light bitter with underlying sweetness. Malts come through and to the fore. Light. Thin. Fizzy carbonation but not overly so. Abrupt finish. Pretty tasteless lager. Better than tasting like mass produced saccharine piss, I suppose.

Draught at Amaya. Pours clear golden, no head. Malty aroma with some hops. Sweet malty taste with a euro lager bitterness.
