It’s taken us nearly 160 years to create the perfect lager, and we wanted to make sure it was uniquely Cornish. Crafted at our brewery in St Austell and bottled in amber glass to protect the freshness, Korev has a wonderful pale colour and a clean, crisp taste. We think you’ll agree it’s been worth the wait.

Flasche: Pale golden with a greenish sheen, a bit unclear, small but lasting white creamy head; mild to moderate pale-malty and grassy to herbal-hoppy nose; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied, but soft; pale malt with bisquity traces in the drier bitter-sweet finish. Kwite good... and far better than the belgo-french Lager swill that is unfortunately served in many british pubs...

Keg, half pint, shared with Finn at The Ship in Plymouth. Clear warm golden body, diminishing white head, clingy lacing. Modest smell of grass and grain. Pale malty flavours added by hints of lime and lemon. Distant bitter endnotes. Clean in the mouth. Okay lager, quite refreshing (22.09.2016).

500ml bottle into a ’Cobra’ pint glass at home on 2nd July 2016. Golden pour, bright and clean: plenty of carbonation bubbles rising through the clear body to the snow white head. Slight corn and malty nose, the flavour more balanced with a semi-bitter hop presence alongside the mini-sweetness from the malt content. Decent.
