It’s taken us nearly 160 years to create the perfect lager, and we wanted to make sure it was uniquely Cornish. Crafted at our brewery in St Austell and bottled in amber glass to protect the freshness, Korev has a wonderful pale colour and a clean, crisp taste. We think you’ll agree it’s been worth the wait.

Bottle from Tesco, Enniskillen [090415]
Light blonde, clear, thin frothy white head
Aroma of light herbal hops, slightly spicy, clean light pale malts
Taste of light sweet pale malts, very soft bitter spicy hops, slight herbal, clean flavour, flavour gets a bit too light with the drinking
Palate - Medium carb, medium light body, soft sweet, light spicy hop bitterness. Finish as main flavour, cleans off palate.
Overall - Not a fan of lagers, but this was a decent well made one with a clean palate

Keg from Brown’s Cafe Bar, Sheffield - Clear yellow, decent white top. Crisp and sweet at the same time. A quaffable lager really, but not one I’d choose if I was out on anything but a free drinks bash.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and gentle bubbles. Nose - lightly honeyed malt with a hint of something citrus. Taste - more honeyed cereal. Citrus kicking in again with a metallic note overhanging on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamier texture than expected for a lager and a fairly balanced finish. Overall - decent lager, I’d say, despite it not being as lean in texture as the style usually demands.

bottle, in a café on Exeter’s Cathedral Green. Golden yellow with a large white head. Lager -like start, dry and hoppy with a good malty base. Surprisingly good for an English lager.
