This summery barrel aged beer is delicious, refreshing and unique, perfect for warm weather days. With an inviting raspberry and elderflower aroma, there is also depth and warmth from the barrel maturation.
We’ve stayed true to the farmhouse style, brewing the beer with ale and acid malt, then fermenting it was a wild saison yeast. Then we matured the beer in barrels containing heaps of Scottish raspberries.

500 ml bottle. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of fruity yeast and a bit of celery. Flavors have an odd mix of sweet sugary fruit, yeast and toasted malts. Can't really say raspberry. Not harmonious. Not really anything, except not offensive.

A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light butterscotch notes, light berries, light boiled veggies, not very good. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with light raspberry fruit, light butterscotch, light mineral notes, fruity esters, cloying. Bottle from LCBO.

Bottle - Light red berry notes and bread. Clear gold with a decent white head. Raspberry and bready notes. Not much of a saison and a bit sweet with no barrel notes.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of raspberries upfront, followed by a touch of oak, and subdued floral notes. Flavour reveals artificial raspberries upfront, with some floral notes, no notice of the barrel. I can't shake the artificial character on the berries. It's alright, but far from an elegant beer.

Bottled 500ml (Systembolaget)
Yellow colour, small white head. Rasberry and overriped strawberry aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish overriped strawberry flavour, ok maybe raspberries too but berries are very attached. Messy and bulky.

Sampled @ 3. Mainzer Craftbier Messe 2017. A clear deep golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of mild tart raspberries, wood. Taste of soft tart raspberries, wood, vanilla, toasted malt.

Part of their Longitude & Latitude Series 001. Comes in a box with a best before date MAY 2018. Pours a golden colour with a white cap and some decent creamy collar. Weird smell of fermentation, like wet socks and sourness. This is the blend of the raspberries and Saison yeast. The taste is much more acceptable as the mild raspberry juiced blend with the golden malts. Decent sweetness, not overpowering. Less of the Saison in the taste, but all-around a decent blond fruity brew. Just weird smelling (so keep in mind... Saison, Raspberry). Maybe think raspberry cheese cake to make it go better.
