Aug. ’15. A 0.5 l ceramic fliptop bottle from Mali ducan, Split. It poured hazy golden body with medium sized head. Sweetish aroma of coriander, banana, lemon or orange peel. Flavor was sweetish malty at first, then bitter alcohol and citrus peel bite came in the equation. The bite prolonged well into the aftertaste, which was also sweet biscuity and fruity. Medium bodied. Overall, a bit sweeter tripel, with strong alcohol presence, but not bad at all.

Helder donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig, hoppig bitter en friszuur met iets ven sinaasappel en ananas. Kruik 50cl, best goed.

0,33l from bottle at känguruh pub vienna shared by a friend. BB 06/2017. Orange hazy color, small white head. Smells acidic, fruits, soda, flowers, elder flowers, nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation, nice slick mouthfeel. Tastes citric, oranges, flowers, elder flowers, light sweetness. Finishes with citric notes and oranges. For the alcohol rather refreshing. I rather like it 7, 4, 8, 3, 15

0,33L bottle (from beerExpress, Tallinn). Pours golden with huge whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is fresh fruits, spices, coriander, yeast. Flavor is sweet, fruits, citrus, spices, slight metallic notes. Finish is somewhat fruity dry bitter. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: less hoppy than expected, but otherwise it’s another well-made belgian brew.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, apples, orange and sugar. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a warm, fruity, yeasty and slightly dry finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy.

The tripel in this series, either from a stone pitcher or from a beautifully shaped, elegant, unusual bottle. Golden blonde, clear robe, sweet character, a bit sugary, malt sweetness with subdued fruitiness, some aromatic hops in the finish but some residual sweetness as well. Unusual tripel but like the dubbel in this series, lacks body.
