A huge Imperial Stout with an explosive espresso aroma followed by strong notes of maple syrup and coffee.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Pours black with a beige head. Syrup, cinnamon, and pancakes on the nose. Flavour has syrup, cinnamon, pancakes; a bit boozy. Very good.

Dark sweet and roasted malty with lots of roasted malt, burnt brown sugar, caramel and brown sugar, heavy coffee roast, full bodied, dark malty lingering finish. Immense. Glad to have finally tasted this.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium creamy brown head. A huge nose of roast, coffee and especially maple. Massive, syrup, coffee, somehow balanced. Very rich. Intense.

Resampled at ’ A day to sink all seasheppards ’ . Batch 2 this time, and not as fresh as the batch 1 was when I drank it. This time, I had loads of maple syrup. Less coffee, bit bitterness. The balance seems to be way better here. I was blown away, since I remember it as the least one of their mega-Imperial-stout-range. This turned out to be the best of that very range today ! Upping the score from 4.5 to a well-deserved 4.8

Pours black, no head. Scent is full-on coffee and maple. Taste is full, rich and thick. Coffee forward. Maple clear in the back. Bit bitter, but mostly sweet. Bit more emphasis on the coffee, and less on the maple, than I'd personaly prefer.
