Edward (1917-2002) is our grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his five children. In his honor, this American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Edward’s well. It is unfiltered and dry hopped.

Tap @ Hill Farmstead. Hazed opaque gold appearance with orange tints, large white head. Super green fresh hop aroma, smooth palate.. seems to be served way too cold, expected more pronounced hop notes but comes across rather empty with not a lot to latch onto. Shame.

Tap. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is grassy, orange juice, toasted malts. Taste is the same, grassy, a bit bready, solid bitterness. Medium carbonation. Tasty, very nice balance.

On tap at DeCicco’s in Bedford, NY. Hazy orange gold color. Brief beige head. Tangy, citrusy aroma hints at tangerine and lemon. Flavor follows nose. Added notes of grapefruit and lime. Spicy hops lean toward pine. Well balanced and drinkable. Really good. .

Draft at the Mad Taco. Hazy golden pour, thin creamy white head. Aroma is very light, soft citrus. Taste is subdued and mellow, pillowy, oranges, citrus, with a bit of dryness at the finish. Superb palate.
