Burk från Beer Republic, 2021. Svart med mocca/brunfärgad tät skumpuck. Inledningsvis massor av lakrits, salmiak och tjärpastill som samsas med fat. Karaktäristiskt Revolution fatlagrad imp stout där fatlagringen stramar åt som tusan. När den kommit upp i temp något öppnar den upp sig och släpper fram toffee, fudge, mörk choklad, nästan lite vaniljtoner, chokladmousse och chokladcrunch. Större kropp rejält åtstramad av fat, men sväller också förvånansvärt i munnen. Gubbigt god och oerhört elegant och stilig, kaxig display av fat. Inget effektsökeri, ingen crowdpleaser, men så välgjort.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight, transient rusty/tan head. Aroma of bourbon and vanilla. Arguably full bodied. Flavor is smooth, sweet burnt malt, heat and bourbon vanilla. Oak for sure. Dark fruits in the finish. And suddenly chocolate. Wowser!

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is rich, bourbon, heavy steak of anise and molasses, charred wood. Flavor is medium plus sweet, Medium bitter. Heavy roast. Full body, long lingering roasted bitter aftertaste.

12oz (thx, Dru!) @ Alex's. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: boozy with bourbon notes, chocolate. Taste: moderately sweet, bourbon, some coffee and vanilla, a bit boozy. Overall: pretty good, reminded me a secret can of Catching Moonlight 2021 we had earlier in the evening.

Refrigerated 12 oz can, canned October 4, 2021 poured into a glass. Black with small light brown head. Aroma is bourbon, medium/think body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is bourbon, chocolate, and oak.
