An imperial stout first brewed in 2015 by Fyne Ales who collaborated with Brouwerij De Molen in the Netherlands. The response was so successful that this beer has been made a permanent addition to Fyne's range. Mills & Hills is a rich, malty stout with lots of treacle and chocolate characters. This complex combination of malts and hops creates a full flavoured beer which is perfect for cold, wintry nights.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours dark brown / near black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of malt, dough, toffee, wood, light licorice, chocolate and overripe dark fruits. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle from ABCbeers. Creamy tan head. Clear black pour. Chocolate and bitterness in the aftertaste. Very good.

Bottle courtesy of Tom (Magic Dave) cheers Tom! consumed at Frank (camper) Generation Europe, Rue de L?Eléphant, Brussels, Saturday 21st March 2015 Black with a slim rim of beige, difficult to smell over the Reblouchon cheese cooking away. I like this, it’s smooth, with a gentle coffee seam throughout and some lovely bittersweet cocoa (good stuff!) You can pick up some hops and it’s just really rich but not at all cloying unlike our Reblouchon meal which looks like it’ll stick to your ribs. Both this and the meal were great. Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared by Erwin Van Moll. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized beige to light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, some liquorice, dark malts and dark fruits lightly. Taste malts, dark malts, lightly roast, bitter, liquorice, malt bitter. Lightly dry finish, decent body and carbonation.

330ml bottle from cornelius. Pours opaque dark brown, thick tan head. Aromas are smoky, tar, almost charred & roasted meat, hop resins. Taste has more charcoal and smoky notes, black coffee, that kind of bubblegum sorachi thing. Lots going on. Rich, oily texture, but a clean finish with it. Lovely stuff.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Jet black body with a huge tan head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of peat, dark chocolate and boozy raisins. Flavour of chalk, chocolate, meaty malts and a nice bitter finish, which lifts what could otherwise be a heavy-going beer. Medium to full body with a luscious, oily mouthfeel. Low carbonation. I feel like this sits somewhere between an Imperial Stout and a Black IPA. Very nice.
