This strong full-bodied specialty beer has a distinctive trace of hops. Fresh and full of life like spring. The seasonal Flensburger specialty is enjoyable from February to May.

Klar gylden, perlende. Aroma af malt, en smule krydret. Krydret sødme, græs, korn, brød. Alkohol skinner igennem, også i lidt tør eftersmag.

Not at all sure what Fruhlingsbock means but I picked up a bottle of this at the World Beer Museum I think, shared on the Grand Front BLDG with my wife. A clear gold, white head. Decent but not so memorable.

Svak eikepreget lukt. Klar lys gyllen farge. Lite skum. God søtlig eikepreget smak, kanskje en anelse honning.

Bottled@CPH BF 2013. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, earthy and has quite pleasant crisp bready and a bit dusty malts to it as well. Flavour is fruity, bready and sweet malts along with some herbal notes. Quite sweet and hoppy for a bock.

Decent heller bock from the north. Darker gold than normal, with creamy head, aroma of malt. Smooth taste and chewy slightly mouthfeel. A little snap to the finish, almost pure malt flavor.

Flaske på Cardinaltreff april-13: lys, bitter og frisk - lite sødme for en bokkøl, mer som en kompetent og lettdrikkelig pilsner. Noe sødme i ettersmaken. Tror dette er en god sommerøl. Flensburg må kanskje inn på sommerens reiseplaner...

330 ml swingtop bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Fresh and pleasant aroma, notes of herbal and slightly spicy hops, on a background of pale malts. The flavour is very fresh and fruity for a lager beer, also herbal and spicy notes. Easy drinking and fairly dry, but not thin - there are sufficient malts around. Has a nice alcoholic punch, but the alcohol does not dominate the flavour. More refined than other Maibocks / heller bocks I’ve had. Pleasant to drink, with food or on its own.

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast. Sweetish, malty taste, enriched by distinct hoppy bitterness and a clear spicy note. Rather well-balanced. One of the best, if not the best brew from Flensburger Brauerei I’ve ever had.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Grassy malty flavor with a quick finish.
