Wild in character, a complex ale with dried fruit and clove aromas, and a satisfying dry finish. Inspired by great Trappist ales, our complex Belgian Style Pale Ale is fermented with the wild yeast Brettanomyces. Matilda pours a golden sunrise color with dried fruit and clove aromas, a spicy yeast flavor, and a satisfying dry finish.

Pours dark amber with a thin white head. Roommate did a shit job opening it. Aroma of yeast and malt. Taste has slight traces of lactose and ferrous elements that grow as the taste fades. Palate has herbal and iron notes. Interesting.

Bottle at home. Amber coloured with beige/off-white head. Aroma is candi sugar, belgian yeast, bit of fruit and some spice. Taste is quite sweet, bit of butterscotch, werthers originals, caramel. Some fruit there somewhere too, in the background, maybe apple, or something plum like. Something vaguely vegetable in there too. Finish is slightly spicy, little bit of ginger maybe. Quite nice, but nothing knockout.

Mooie fles, mooi etiker. Bijna oranje kleur, stevig schuim. Goed gist aroma, volle smaak, zoet, maar ook stevig, kruidig. Erg goed bier.

Thin off white he'd left a spotty cover on a dark golden still body. Minimal aroma of oak & sour hints. Bitter hoppy tastes with banana, clove, spices & light fruitiness

$2.79 bottle, Total Wine, Gainesville. I know I've had this before, don't know why I didn't rate. Pours hazy golden-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is lemonade, funk, hay, earth. Flavor is funky lemonade, caramel malt, hay, earth, dried flowers, light yeast. Very pleasant, lots of flavor.

2014 bottle into a taster showing medium amber and a finger of slightly tanned foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of peach, nectarine and a harmonious note of Belgian yeast. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Light brett and Belgian yeast with barely any sweetness. Very clean and refreshing while easy drinking like a well made saison.

5 years old bottle, thanks Jon. Darker orange pour, quite some foam there, thick and leaves good lacing on the glass while coming down. Funky tart nose, some deep dried yellow fruits, crystallised sugar there. Yeasty edge carries forward to the taste, lightly tart but feels also potent. Funky barnyard linger with light bitterness.

Bottle shared. Bit hazy golden with small off white head. Quite some Brett, caramel, flowery notes, soft apricot, plastic, bread, soap, CO2, apple. Medium sweet and bit over medium bitter. Over medium bodied with sparkly carbonation.
