The Sabaja Smoked Porter is loaded with notes of chocolate and coffee, mingled with subtle hints of peat smoke in a deliciously full-bodied black ale. Balanced by a tasteful bitterness, the Smoked Porter is a hearty drink; tasty during the summer, but truly in its element during the colder months. This beer is delicious on own, and outstanding when complementing food.

On tap at Soma Book Station, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose brings out medium roast, light smoked and a hint of cracked pepper. Flavour is robust, with toasted malt, light roast and light smoke. Dry, robust, and well-made. This is really good.

Dec ’14. A 0.33 l bottle courtesy of Marko, great thanks for sharing this utterly interesting beer! It poured clear brown body with medium sized head. Aroma was roasted malty, of course, but with a bit of peat, although not nearly as much as one would expect for the "smoked porter". Flavor was lightly of each bitter, sweet and acidic. Acidity manifested mostly as that peat, actually just added to smoked feeling, besides regular coffee/licorice/chocolate malt. Medium body. No notes on the finish. I got tired of writing so many rates that evening so didn’t pay full attention it deserves. Summary: Not smoked as expected, not even something excellent, but hats down to the craft pioneers of Kosovo! Keep it rolling!

330ml bottle at home, as Sabaja Smoked Porter, thanks to skullgeorge. Dark brown almost black color with nice beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, lot of smoked notes especially in the beginning, coffee, licorice, light chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, some hoppy notes. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma, th hoppy notes are more intense here. Light to medium almost oily body with soft to average carbonation.

Bottle at home I was going to save to share for country tickers but I had nothing else cold. Deep brown pour small head. Nose is cocoa and some citrus hops. Tastes if coffee cake, cocoa powder, lime, licorice touch oxidized. Watery palate.
